Last Saturday, during our MA
class at school, a topic was discussed about our leaders, why most of them were
corrupt. We just had a glimpse of the topic and it sparked
my interest… my curiosity was piqued.
One question popped
in my mind after the discussion. The question was what if
all our leaders were God-fearing? Regardless of religion, would corruption still
be possible? You may find the answer very
difficult, but if you think deeply, the answer is
just very simple. No, I think corruption would not
be possible because when you’re God-fearing that
means you love your God, you take your God
seriously and you take the law of
your God wholeheartedly. Surely, you would turn away from evil. But
such heartbreak, many of our leaders weren’t God-fearing.
Imagine what
our country would be if all our leaders were God-fearing men. I think we would stand
out among other countries, not just a plain mediocre country that we have
right now.
